Obituary for Judith Ann Duda

Print

Judith Ann (Murray) Duda was born January 6,1945 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Marita and George Murray, passed away peacefully at 73 years young on October 26,2018 surrounded by her loved ones in Melbourne, Florida.

A cherished and beloved mother, Judy is survived by her daughter Terese (Terri) Rinna, son-in-law Christopher Rinna and her son David Duda. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren: Justin Rinna and Halie Garfield.

Judy is the first (oldest) of 9 children that were welcomed into her loving Irish Catholic family. She is survived by her loving siblings: Micki (Roy) Pisasale, Jeff (Joanne) Murray Jr, David (Patty) Murray, Tony (Denise) Murray, Rita (Rick) Tyler, Diane (Dave) Flores, Susie Murray and Matt (Brenda) Murray.

Judy is also survived by her many precious nephews, nieces, grand-nephews, grand-nieces and beautiful friends.

Growing up Judy's family moved a few times between Maryland and Virginia. After meeting and marrying the true love of her life, the late Thomas Duda, moved to Michigan to raise her own family. Between raising her two children and taking in many of her siblings at different times to help them find their way, she enjoyed doing, ceramics and bowling.

After being a full-time mother dedicated to her children she began selling Avon. Judy worked her way up to be an extraordinary Circle of Excellence District Sales Manager- always wishing you a super sunshiny day! In 2001, Judy decided to move to Port Orange, Florida to be closer to her own mother. Here she worked in the banking industry until she moved to St. Augustine, where she shined in the retail industry until she officially retired earlier this year. Judy had only recently moved to Melbourne in June.

Judy cherished her times spent with friends and family at Camp Dearborn. She also enjoyed and looked forward to her “girls" weekends with her closest and most dear friends. Judy was extremely proud to be the first in her family to become a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

Judy is an absolutely wonderful, loving and amazing person who touched everyone she met. She had a great sense of humor and would light any room just by walking into it. Even in her final weeks, far from being at her best, she gained the love and friendship of the staff at the assisted living facility where she was living at the time of her passing.

Judy will be dearly missed.

There will be a Memorial service and celebration of Judy's life on November 10th, 2018 at Beach Funeral Home located at 4999 N. Wickham Rd, Melbourne, Florida 32940.

Welcoming begins at 11:00 am with the Memorial service to follow at Noon.

Judy's final resting place will be at the Fountainhead Memorial Park at 7303 Babcock St. SE, Palm Bay, Florida 32909.
