The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Albert Rodgers can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence: Although we will all miss Uncle Al there are some who will miss him more. Rene and his grandchildren top that list. But... His two sisters will miss him so so much. Aunt Bess and Aunt June are the only two siblings left of our branch of the Rodgers family. Nanny and Grandpa had a fine family. Uncle Clifford, my dad (Gordon) and Uncle Al as well as a their sister Aunt Eileen have all gone ahead. Uncle Doug and Aunt Nel also have gone on ahead. Now they are all together. I know they will be waiting for us and we will see them each in our own time. God bless them and all of us left here on earth.

Condolence: Dear Rene and family. We understand how sad you must all be feeling at the loss of such a wonderful gentleman. As a family we will always be grateful to uncle Al (as we have always known him) for getting in touch with Diane Cliff’s daughter, which set up a lovely bond between our families and leaving us such good and rich memories in Canada and England. I personally will always remember our interesting and very moving visits to France visiting the Canadian war memorial gardens where uncle Al was able to pay his respects to fallen comrades. Our thoughts will be with you this weekend. Doug.

Condolence: Dear Rene,
I know Uncle Al thought of you as a daughter and I am feeling glad he had those thoughts and you treated him like a Father. I was happy to see him at Aggies Celebration of Life. Thank you for bringing him.
Love,
Susie, Gord and Virginia. xoxo

Condolence: Dear Rene and Family - your loss is our loss too. Al was such a strong family member for all us. We miss is compassion, his unconditional love and his smiling face. So many fond memories of him in our lives - weddings, births of our children, Christmas, Easter, family BBQ's and dinners. We cherish the memories and celebrate the privilege to have been in his life. He is at peace and we take comfort in that. May peace be with all of you at this very emotional time. Our live and deepest sympathies, Nancy, David and Lauren. xx
