SHOLER, Leonard Roy (Member of Royal Canadian Legion Branch 497, Omemee) - Peacefully entered into rest surrounded by the love of his family, at Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay on Wednesday, October 26, 2011. Born and raised in Lindsay, Ontario, Len was a pillar of the community and a member of many organizations and clubs. Forever a storyteller, his spirit will live on as his family and loved ones continue to share his stories. Beloved husband of the late Eleanor (nee Pollard). Loving father of Jeanne and her husband Bill Sanders, Suzanne, Len Jr., and the late James Sholer. Cherished grandpa of Elizabeth and Jessie Lynne Sholer, and Charlotte Hannah and her fiancé Christian Antonescu. Predeceased by his mother Vera (nee Wellington) and her husband Hender Trick, and by his sister Viola Pollard. Treasured uncle of Lorraine Van Alstyne and her family. Fondly remembered by his relatives and many friends. Visitation at Mackey Funeral Home, 33 Peel Street, Lindsay on Sunday, October 30th from 3:00-5:00 p.m. Funeral service on Tuesday, November 1st at 2:00 p.m. Private family interment later at Riverside Cemetery, Lindsay.
