John Elven Connell – Entered into rest after a brief illness, with his family by his side, at the Ross Memorial Hospital, Lindsay on Thursday, October 25, 2018 in his 82nd year. Son of the late Irvine and Eva Connell. Beloved husband of the late Dorothy (2008), for 49 years. Loving father of Sherry (the late Ted) Moynes, John and his wife Sharon, William and his wife Lee, and Gordon and his wife Kelly. Cherished grandfather of Melissa (Jeff), Samantha (Louis), Marlena (Zack), Barbara (Mike), Matthew (Christine), Andrew (Alaina), Megan, Kevin and Kristie (Dylon). Dearly missed by great-grandchildren Ethan, Connor, Abel, Lyla, Mya, Eddie, Madalynn and Theo. Fondly missed by his brother Morley (Bev) and sister Dorothy (Jack) Weston. Memorial Visitation will be at the Mackey Funeral Home, 33 Peel Street, Lindsay (705-328-2721) on Friday, November 2, 2018 from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Emily Cemetery, Omemee.
