John Bergs Sr. entered into rest at Sunnybrook Health Sciences, Toronto on Sunday, August 26th at the age of 77. John was the beloved husband for 55 years to Barbara Johnston. Loved father of son John and daughter Kimberly. Brother of Matt Bergs and partner Rosa, Jack and his wife Olga Bergs, Ted Bergs and his partner Nancy, and sister Maria Bergs. Brother-in-law to Faye and her husband Bob Middleton, Sandra and her husband Robert Thomas, Wray "Butch" and his wife Susan Johnston, Jacqueline and her husband Dave Corp, Susan and her husband Doug Lywood, Harold and his wife Bev Johnston, Roger and his wife Lynn Johnston, Pauline and her husband Perry Crowder and Pam Johnston and her partner Howard Nesbitt. Family and friends are invited to call at the Mackey Funeral Home, Lindsay on Wednesday August 29th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm funeral service in the chapel on Thursday, August 30th at 2:00 pm.
