Obituary for Donna Jenkinson

Jenkinson, Donna Marie (née Power) – After a short illness, passed away peacefully at the Ross Memorial Hospital on Saturday, March 3, 2018 in her 66th year. She was born March 18, 1952, in Glace Bay, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. Cherished mother of Jerit (Sarah), Jenifer and Janis. Loving Nana of Andrew, Trevor, Evelyn, Gage, Logan and Kaden. Predeceased by her parents William and Mary Power, and brother Donald Power. Graduated with a B.A. from Mount Saint Vincent University, a B.Ed. from York University and from Toronto with a Pastoral Care Counseling Degree (C.P.C.). Donna enjoyed teaching both adults in church and children in school. She loved being a mother and Nana. She had a strong faith in God throughout her years. Visitation will take place at the Mackey Funeral Home, 33 Peel Street on Tuesday, March 6th from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. and Wednesday, March 7th at Calvary Pentecostal Church, 125 Victoria Avenue North from 12:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Reception to follow. Interment will take place at Riverside Cemetery. If desired, a memorial donation to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
