NIXON, Laura Eva (nee Thompson) ~ Passed away peacefully at Ross Memorial Hospital on Thursday, November 30th. Laura at the age of 56, was the loving wife and friend of Dave "Pretzel" Nixon for 30 years. Adored mother of Kyle, Dillon, Matthew Nixon; and Karen Gainforth (Dan). Grandmother of Kristen and Mitchell Gainforth. Laura is predeceased by her parents Edward and Roxanne Thompson. Survived by her dear brother Jeff (Lindsay) and will be missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. As per Laura's wishes, cremation has taken place. Interment will be on Saturday December 9th at 1:00 p.m. and a Celebration of Life will take place at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #67, 12 York Street North, Lindsay on Sunday, December 10th from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Mackey Funeral Home, 33 Peel Street, Lindsay.
