The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of John DeBois can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence From: Anne Patterson
Condolence: Marilyn & family,

While we are saddened by Jack's passing, I hope you find solace in knowing how much he meant to so many people. My mother, Helen, thoroughly enjoyed her many years teaching with him in the Commercial department at LCVI. Her sentiments would be summed up with the words "He was the best!".

Please accept my sincere sympathy to all of you.

Condolence: To Marilyn, John, Lori and family: Jack was a wonderful man - so accomplished in everything he did. He leaves a legacy in education and sports second only to his lovely family. As a living memorial to him we are
offering a memorial tree to be planted in his name. Our prayers are with you

Condolence: Marilyn and Family:
I was shocked to hear of Jack's passing. I had not heard he was ill.
My sincere sympathy to you Marilyn and your family.
I always enjoyed conversations with Jack. He so loved to talk curling, golf, baseball and hockey. I also think back to days when we were all students at LCI. He was a fine man and will be missed.

Condolence: Jack was my neighbour at the cottage for 51 years. I always liked our long conversations over the fence. We both shared stories about being secondary principals. He would often come by after his long walks to Ingoldsby to say hi. He was always a fighter and overcame so many serious health obstacles with courage and fortitude. I enjoyed watching his beautiful children John and Laurie playing in the lake and now their children. I will truly miss Jack, he was a true gentle man.

Condolence: So sorry to hear about the passing of Jack. I saw him not to long ago picking up a prescription at Axis drug store. He was always a gentleman. I have one great memory of Jack when he filled in for my late husband Gord at a seniors mix zone competition in Bancroft.

Condolence: Your loss is shared by many at this time. Mr. Debois taught me my debits and credits during my last high school year (bookkeeping as it was known) and he was a great teacher. He remembered me also over his lifetime in my financial career. He was a gentleman and a man of his word. Comfort each other during this difficult time.
