Born in Holland on February 18, 1926. Married to the late Wilhelmina van der Horst on November 28, 1953 at St. Mary’s Church, Lindsay. Died in peace surrounded by loved ones on September 14, 2018 at Sundial Lakeview Retirement Residence, Orillia. He will always be remembered by his six children: Johanna “Janie” (Wayne Rolfe), Yvonne Dickhoff-van Zeijl (David †), Clemens (Laura LaMantia), Jerry Jr. (Glenn Fallis), RoseMarie (William Murphy) and Louise (John Fidale); ten grandchildren and three great granddaughters. Gerry will be fondly remembered by his sisters, lifelong friends, and the friends he made at Sundial. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Lindsay on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery. Following the interment there will be a reception at the St. Mary’s Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations to Sundial Wellness Centre would be appreciated by the family.
