Buchanan, James - Entered into rest at Extendicare Kawartha Lakes, on Saturday, April 21, 2018. Jim, at the age of 81, was the beloved companion of Jean Johnston, for 44 years. Loving stepfather of Catherine Garnier (Charles), Mary Johnston (Wade Sparling) and the late Linda. Cherished Grandfather of Tara, Nathan and Holly and great grandfather of Ashley, Kennedy and Aliya. Jim is survived by his brother Jack Buchanan (Anne Marie), and his sister Nancy McCurrie (Michael). He will be remembered by many nephews and nieces. In keeping with Jim's wishes cremation has taken place and a private family service will take place at Riverside Cemetery, Lindsay. If desired memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society of Canada, or the Arthritis Society of Canada would be appreciated by the family.
