SCRIVENS, Merle Annie (née Jacobs) – Passed away peacefully at Caressant Care Nursing Home Mary Street on Tuesday, October 2, 2018. Merle “Skinny” at the spry age of 93, was the beloved wife of the late Ronald Scrivens. Cherished Mom of Kathy Richardson and predeceased by Shirley, Ernie and infant daughter. Loving Grandma of Sherrilyn (Brad), Misty (Jason), Stacey (Jesse), Adrienne (Joel), Amber (Sean), Ashley, Deanelle (Michael), Evan (Suzanne). Great-Grandma of Mackenzie, Mason, Myles, Mitchell; Nohlan, Addyson; Erin, Jillian; Justin, Jared; Madison, Claire and Blake. Merle will be remembered by her friend Bruce Eggert. Predeceased by her parents and all of her siblings. Merle was a member of Peniel United Church and Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #184 (Woodville). Visitation will take place at the Mackey Funeral Home, 33 Peel Street, Lindsay on Thursday, October 4th from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be the following day, Friday, October 5th at 11:30a.m. Interment will follow at Eden Cemetery. Following interment will be a reception at Peniel United Church. If desired, a memorial donation to Canadian Mental Health Association, Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation or Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
