EYRE; Norman Herbert ~ It is with great sadness that the family of Norman Eyre announce his unexpected but peaceful passing on Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at the Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay Ontario. A proud World War II veteran, Norm was celebrating his 90th year. Norm Eyre was the beloved husband of Anna Eyre (nee Butt). Loving father of Paula Lane, and her husband Jim Lane. Devoted grandfather of Sarah Lane Buck, her husband Bill Buck, Katharine Lane, and great grandfather of Billy, John, and David. Predeceased by his brothers Melvin, survived by his wife Jan, Jack and his late wife Betty, and Bruce. Norm will be deeply missed by many other relatives, his church family, and friends. Visitation will be held at St. Paul's Anglican Church, 44 Russell Street West, Lindsay on Monday, August 17th from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:30 a.m. Members of the Legion Branch #67, and visiting comrades, are invited to assemble at the church at 11:15 a.m. for a Legion Memorial Service at 11:30 a.m. Reception to follow service. Interment is at the Riverside Cemetery, Lindsay (family only). Donations to St. Paul's Anglican Church would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to the Mackey Funeral Home, Lindsay.
