Reginald Arthur  Quirt
Quirt, Reginald “Reg” Arthur ~ WWII Veteran and member of the Royal Canadian Legion and the Faithful Brethren, Lodge #77, passed away peacefully with his family by his side at the Ross Memorial Hospital on Friday, May 29th, 2015. ”Reg” in his 100th year, was the loving husband of the late Beatrice Quirt. Beloved father of Sheila Piel (David) and Douglas (Arlene). Cherished grandfather to Heather Finn (Darcy), Heidi Tomczak (John Forsythe) Ryan Quirt (Lindsay), Julie Quirt (Paul), Trisha Quirt (Clinton), Charlotte Guest and his great-grandchildren Allister, Riley and Lincoln. Dear brother to Yvonne McLeod (the late Bud), and predeceased by sister Kathleen Stemler (survived by Jim), Robert (survived by Lenore), and brothers Allan (Dorothy), Jack and Douglas (Mary). Reg will be missed by his many nieces, nephews and extended families, Lonny Tomczak and Susan Quirt. Friends are invited to a Celebration of Life service at the Mackey Funeral Home, 33 Peel Street, Lindsay, on Saturday, June 6th, 2015. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until time of the Royal Canadian Legion service at 11:45 a.m. Legion Members are asked to assemble at the funeral home for 11:30 a.m. Reception to follow. Interment to follow at Riverside Cemetery at a later date. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
