Condolence From: Joeann
Condolence: Wes was my second father. He loved his family above all but his faith. He was understanding and forgiving. When Peg passed he missed her deeply but he continued on, keeping busy and always with a smile and never complaining. He would stop in daily to see Dave at the office, to see if there might be a pick up or delivery he could do for him. He enjoyed coming to our home for family meals especially if he knew Courtney and Chris would be there. I have so many memories of all of us at the cottage. He was always the early bird up and cutting wood before anyone else was out of bed, or feeding Kelly, our black lab and then Kody the chocolate lab. We played a lot of games and cards at the cottage especially if the weather was wet, had losts of family meals, including a thanksgiving turkey done on an impromptu firepit when someone on the lake brought a tree down on the hydro line somewhere. I am grateful for the memories that these time made, they are special to me and I know they will be forever remembered by his grandchildren. I don't know how he kept his spirits up once he lost both his children but he did, or at least that is what he showed us. Wes was a wonderful man, I have only love and respect for him and will miss him greatly. Joeann
