NEMIS, Irene Margaret ~ Peacefully at the Ross Memorial Hospital, Lindsay with her family at her side on Thursday, March 12, 2015 in her 91st year. Irene (nee Heard) was the loving wife of William 'Bill' Nemis for 68 years. Cherished mother of David and his wife Judy Nemis of Newcastle, Lynda and her husband Douglas Boulter of Kingston, Christine and her husband Michael Ormiston of Omemee, and the late Chris Campbell Nemis (twin of Christine). Much loved Baba of Stephanie (Jacques) Deslauriers, Ryan (Wendy) Nemis, Craig (Linda) Nemis, Darren Nemis, Paul (Christa) Ormiston and Matthew (Jennie) Ormiston, great grandmother of 12. Irene will be remembered always by her extended family and friends. Visitation will be at the Mackey Funeral Home, 33 Peel Street, Lindsay, on Tuesday from 2:00 - 4:00 & 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel on Wednesday, March 25th at 1:30 p.m. Private family interment will take place at a later time. Memorial donations to the Alzheimer’s Society Kawartha Lakes, Salvation Army Citadel, Lindsay or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
